Single Review: Dua Lipa & Silk City, "Electricity"

As the extended campaign for her debut album continues, Dua Lipa is back with another dance music collaboration. "Electricity," a joint single with Silk City (Diplo & Mark Ronson) is yet another banger in the vein of Lipa's preceding collaborative single with Calvin Harris, "One Kiss."Peppered with vibrant piano strokes, a classic deep house beat and a euphoric vocal production, "Electricity" is a home run. It's the perfect song to usher in the cozier fall season without completely letting go of the party scene of the summer. The single best part of the song, however, is the quirkily makeshift harmony that Silk City creates by pitching Lipa's voice an octave or two lower for an echoing earworm of a hook.
